Royal Society Young People’s Book Prize

We’re delighted to announce that our very own Out of This World by Clive Gifford has been shortlisted for the Royal Society Young People’s Book Prize 2012. Other nominations include The Magic of Reality by Richard Dawkins and How The Weather Works by Christiane Dorion, and the winning book will be selected by groups of young people from schools and youth groups.

Meet Monstrous Maud!

We are very excited to launch a new series called Monstrous Maud as part of the new Buster Fiction list. These spooky new books follow Maud Montague (and her pet rat Quentin) who doesn’t fit in at Primrose Towers School. Things are finally looking up when she gets to move to the mysterious Rotwood School, but things aren’t quite what they seem. It’s a school for monsters! Find out what happens to Maud and Quentin at their new school, and the adventures they get up to in the monstrous new series, Monstrous Maud!

John and Carole will be promoting Hollow Earth on television and radio over the next few weeks, and here are the details of their confirmed appearances. They will be also be interviewed on regional radio stations during this time.

Hollow Earth is coming to Glasgow!

Next stop on our tour will be Scotland, where John and Carole will be signing copies of Hollow Earth at Waterstones, 174-176 Argyle Street, Glasgow G2 8BT, at 1pm.

As with all the signings, John and Carole will only be signing their own books and don’t have time to sign DVDs or other memorabilia. Please respect this and do not ask them to do so.

Meerkat Mayhem in Bookshops!

Buster Books have put together some fabulous meerkat-themed activity packs for bookshops, which include puzzles, games, colouring-in sheets and images to find the meerkat in. These tie in with three of our fun books: Where’s the Meerkat, Meerkat
Mischief and How To Draw Animals. Look out for meerkat mania in a book shop near you this autumn!
